The City of Gloucester Health Department is offering FREE flu shots this year. Flu clinics are open to those 3 years of age and older. Please bring your health insurance cards. We do accept those without insurance.

Get Your Tickets For The $25K Game!

Tickets are still available for the $25K Game!  This game has the best odds around as a total of $25,000 is given away including one Grand Prize of $10,000! The $25,000 game also features a 50/50 raffle, door prizes and much more! Tickets are sold for $100 each and grant you and a guest entrance the night of the event. You do not have to be there to win.

Call the Chamber at 978-283-1601 or stop by the Chamber office at 33 Commercial Street in Gloucester this week to purchase your tickets. The office is open Monday-Friday from 9 AM – 5 PM. The $25K Game will take place on Thursday, October 4 at The Gloucester House Restaurant from 5-7PM. We look forward to seeing you there!

a rake, a gas or battery-operated weed whacker, loppers, or

weeding buckets, large black heavy-duty plastic bags for leaves and weeds, or

old tarps for collecting and moving debris to a central location, or

lawn mower , or wheel barrow

Don Stone Comes Home August 25 – October 9 Reception August 25th 2-4pm North Shore Arts Association Over 140 works on view – all available to add to your collection. Fish Talk o/c Don Stone, NA 1929-2015 Internationally known modern impressionist painter, Don Stone, was elected to full membership in the National Academy of Design, the American Watercolor Society (Dolphin Fellow), American Society of Marine Artists (Fellow), Salmagundi Club (Honorary Member), and the New England Watercolor Society (Lifetime Honorary Member). In Addition, Stone was a member of the Guild of Boston Artists, Allied Artists of America, the Hudson Valley Art Association, the Rockport Art Association (Lifetime Member), the North Shore Art Association and a number of smaller regional art associations with whom he exhibited over the years. His work has been exhibited in various public museums, including the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the Museum of Mobile, Alabama, and the Canton Art Institute, Canton, Ohio. He won numerous awards, including two Greenshields Foundation Grants and First Prize in Juried Shows at both the Rockport Art Association and the North Shore Art Association. Charles Shurcliff Pre-Demo Studio Showroom Pop Up Show September, 11 – 15th. Demonstration Friday September, 14 (2pm)

Charles Shurcliff is an Ipswich resident who was born in Beverly, MA. He started drawing during the Roosevelt Administration and spent twenty years learning the fundamentals of painting from his grandfather, Cape Ann painter Charles Hopkinson. He went on to study painting at the Cummington School of the Arts followed by eight years at Harvard University. For many years Charles enjoyed a parallel, and more gainful, career in Architecture and Landscape Architecture. Charles’ demo will take place outdoors in front of the art association. He will paint the beautiful harbor scene in his signature quick, loose plein air painting style. The demo will total one hour, and questions are welcomed as he goes along. Let’s hope for good weather!
