G400+ Athletic Committee Presents Youth Track & Field Day!

G400+ Athletic Committee presents Youth Track & Field Day! Join us on June 18th from 10am-1pm for this FREE event for K – 8th grade aged kids; no experience necessary but pre-registration is required! This will be a fun day outside at Newell Stadium at GHS with a number of events, including: 100M & 200M race, softball throw, (soft) javelin, and long jump.

Cape Ann Symphony prepares for their G400+ Pops in the Park!

Representatives from Terry Handley Audio and the Symphony’s Board of Directors met last week at Stage Fort Park as planning for the concert continues for this summer’s concert. Specially planned for the Gloucester 400+ year of events, the concert will take place on July 28, 2023 and will be free and open to the public.

Pictured below, Yoichi Udagawa, Music Director and Conductor of the Cape Ann Symphony (left) points out a potential location of the outdoor stage.

The audience’s ocean view will be perfect for the “Pops in the Park” concert.

The Future of Gloucester Series is a selection of panels throughout our 400th year focused on looking towards our next hundred.

The first panel of our series, The Future of our Workforce, will feature representatives from a selection of local programs geared towards training Gloucester’s next generation in trades from fishing and farming to science and administration. What new skills and practices will be needed from our local workers to ensure the future of our local economy continues to thrive? Find out at this free, open to the public event!
