The Book Discussion Group with Mary Weissblum is meeting this Tuesday, August 8, 4:00-5:00pm, in the Byers/Davidson Room This month’s read is Erik Larson’s The Devil in the White City, copies are available to checkout at the Main Desk.

The Speculative Fiction Book Club with Lewis Parsons meets this Wednesday, August 9, 6:30-7:30pm at the Pleasant Street Tea Company. Copies of this month’s book, Liu Cixin’s The Three-Body Problem, are available at the library to checkout. Speculative Fiction includes science fiction, fantasy, horror and more.

- Launched in London in 2004, the exhibition has been displayed in over 550 venues worldwide. The exhibition examines forgiveness as a healing process, a path out of victimhood, and ultimately a journey of hope. From 6:30pm-7pm there will be an opportunity to view the 18 banners with personal stories that make up this portion of “The Forgiveness Project.” Stephanie Cassatly who is also a contributor to “The Forgiveness Project” will begin her presentation at 7pm. After the presentation, there will be time for additional viewing of “The Forgiveness Project” as well as a book signing for Stephanie’s book “Notice of Release.” The Exhibit will remain open for viewing and contemplation in the Friend Room through Monday, July 24 (except during other programming).
