A 15 week class will meet Tuesdays after school 2:20 PM – 4:20 PM starting February 7th. Job search, resume, networking, college and career tips, speakers and events!
We will match you to a summer internship! (most are paid jobs). You will have a summer job for up to 6 weeks with a career advisor.

O’Maley Academy at O’Maley Innovation Middle School in Gloucester

At O’Maley Academy, students enjoy digging deeper into personal interests, thinking critically, improving their communication and leadership skills with peers and adults, and having fun. O’Maley Academy is open to all Gloucester middle school age students, is a free program, and runs Monday through Thursday 2:00 – 4:30. There is also a six week summer program.
Allison Cousins is starting as the new Site Coordinator. Ms. Cousins is a guidance counselor at O’Maley, and has extensive experience with after school programs and summer programming. Graham Epple, who teaches Health, will be the new Family Engagement Coordinator.
O’Maley Academy is offering a huge range of programs in STEM, the arts, and health and wellness. Two highlights are: Our well-known drama theater program will begin creating the spring production of Mulan, Jr. with the support of the Set and Costume Design program, and we will run full-day Project Adventure field trips filled with challenges and team-building exercises.

O’Maley Academy Summer Science Grad Program – FREE for Gloucester Students
Weeks of July 25 and August 1, Monday through Thursday 9am-1pm
There are still a few spaces in a fantastic two week program this summer at O’Maley Academy. Joining this program is a great way to meet with experts, learn about 21st century careers and skills in science, and add to your summer activities.
In the Summer Science Grad Program we will Investigate careers in science and engineering by meeting people who work in these exciting fields. We will think about what it takes to become a scientist by visiting UMass Lowell and Northeastern University. Last, but never least, there will be many exciting hands-on activities and discussions with experts in the field:
– We will take a trip to the MIT Museum to complete the “Make a Move” workshop
– We will take a trip to the Museum of Science and explore a variety of exhibits
– We will hone our skills by collecting water samples and use microscopes to find organisms in them
– We will try our hand at building a bridge from cement
