Whales: An Unforgettable Journey” Tonight

“Whales: An Unforgettable Journey” premieres tonight at 8pm on Cape Ann TV Channel 12. Originally shown in IMAX theaters, this 45-minute documentary shows breathtaking close up encounters with whales and dolphins. It’s narrated by Patrick Stewart.

The movie is produced by the Ocean Alliance (the Snotbot people, whose world headquarters are at the old Paint Factory on Rocky Neck.) They were kind enough to give give us permission to show this movie on Cape Ann TV.

Here’s more about the Ocean Alliance and the remarkable work they do: Ocean Alliance collects a broad spectrum of data on whales and ocean life relating particularly to toxicology, behavior, bioacoustics, and genetics. From that data they work with their scientific partners to advise educators and policy makers on wise stewardship of the oceans to: reduce pollution, prevent the collapse of marine mammal populations, maintain human access to fish and other sea life, and promote ocean and human health.

The movie also airs on Tuesday, May, 3 at 7 pm; Wednesday, May 4 at 10 am and 2 pm; Thursday, May 5 at 5am and 6:30pm; Friday, May, 6 at 7:30pm; Saturday, May 7 at 2pm and 10pm; and Sunday, May 8 at 12pm and 11pm.
