Ditty Bag Workshop

The perfect project now you have put the boat to bed! Come and get your ditty on at the Essex Shipbuilding Museum.

Join us in the Waterline Center for a Sunday morning workshop and make your own ditty bag. These bags have been used by sailors for centuries and have many uses from tool bags to produce bags. Please bring your own lunch!

Halloween at the Little Art Cinema!

Spend this Halloween at the Little Art with a marathon of horror classics all for $10!

First up at 5 is Tod Browning’s adaption of Dracula starring the iconic Bela Lugosi!

Next at 7 we have to Hitchcock classic that spawned an entire genre: Psycho!

To finish the night off we have a tale of superstition and science from one of the best B-movie directors ever to work in Hollywood, Jacques Tourneur (Out of the Past, Cat People)!

Essex ClamFest – This Saturday!

Join us for the 37th Annual Essex ClamFest from 11AM to 4PM in Shepard Memorial Park in Essex. The festival is free to attend and it is $10 to take part in the Clam Chowder Tasting Competition.
